There exists in me a lingering sadness and wish that I could somehow reverse what happened. It felt unreal and though two thousand miles away from the fire, smoke and devastation, so bitterly personal. In those agonizing hours that followed I could only sit in front of my television set helpless to do anything about the horrors unfolding in front of me. I knew I would never feel the same again.
