SEPTEMBER SKY
September day, they made their way,
From homes of peace and child's play,
The hurried pace, the New York din
The day began.
And unaware, of danger there
From secret bands would terror reign.
And hatred ruled above this land,
Dispensing death by its hand,
By its hand.
Never again would we be the same.
Never will we be the same.
The rising sun glistened bright,
On twin symbols, in the morning light.
Majestic stood in Manhattan high,
Awaiting vengeance from the sky,
The marshaled might, the deadly flight,
Did strike with force, and change our lives.
In the fire of smoke and Hell, the towers fell,
The towers fell,
The towers fell.
Never again would we feel the same,
Never will we feel the same.
The aftermath of fear and pain,
A mighty nation felt the strain,
The blood of heros sacrificed—
(They paid the ultimate price)
We raise our voices in the face
Of terrorism's cold embrace,
With steel resolve, united stand,
To rid the evil from our land,
With this slogan in our hearts forever,
God Bless America,
God Bless America,
God Bless America.
Our memorial now sounds this call,
"If you do it to one of us, you do it to us all."

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands—one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
